About us

Cycling UK Stevenage organises more than 200 local rides every year.  There will be a ride for you.

Currently the ride programme is limited due to Covid-19, the rides that are currently planned can be found on this page

Usually the group has Saturday Starters which are ideal for newcomers, two hour Morning Meanders on Sundays, other varied Sunday rides and the very popular Wednesday evening rides all year round.  There are also Friday Flings in the summer months.

Social events include a BBQ ride, a Curry Crawl ride, a Pizza Night ride, a Teddy Bear's Picnic ride, a Santa Cycles ride, and a Christmas lunch ride.

We organise events such as Emitremmus Desrever; the Stevenage Start of Summertime Specials (SSoSS); Stevenage Circular and off road challenges.

England is now in Lockdown. All Club rides have been cancelled until further notice.

In addition we would like to bring to your notice the Government rules on Exercise

You must not leave, or be outside of your home except where necessary. You may leave the home to exercise with your household (or support bubble) or one other person, this should be limited to once per day, and you should not travel outside your local area.

If you do leave home for a permitted reason, you should always stay local - unless it is necessary to go further, for example to go to work. Stay local means stay in the village, town, or part of the city where you live.

When we are allowed to ride in groups again we expect to have to follow the instructions below.

When Club rides start again there will be some adjustments – the most notable being each ride will consist of the leader and up to 5 riders – a group of no more than 6.
Places must be booked.
In order to book on a ride please  contact the leader In advance.
Please note that a ride may already be fully booked so be sure to check for confirmation that you have a place before turning up.
Please read the Guide for Riders during Covid-19 restrictions
