Cycle Advocacy Network
Northern Ireland has some of the lowest levels of cycling in Western Europe, and we often hear negative attitudes towards cycling and cycle infrastructure in the media and online, but the reality is that most people here want better, safer cycle infrastructure and more people using a bike to get around. This includes people in your local area!
Cycling UK is challenging these attitudes by building a Cycle Advocacy Network across the nation with you championing local change.
Cycle Friendly Employer
The Cycle Friendly Employer award demonstrates to employees and customers that your business takes seriously its commitment to combatting climate change, improving staff well-being and providing alternative transport solutions.

Project: Routes and Roots
Cycling UK is developing a heritage trail delving into the industries which have shaped the city of Belfast, with a grant from the National Lottery Community Heritage Fund.
The innovative project will use video, interactive mapping and paper route maps to bring the stories of Belfast residents to life and connect them with the present-day landscape.
Routes and Roots is one of 29 projects supported by The Community Heritage Fund, which The National Lottery Heritage Fund is delivering on behalf of the Department for Communities to help people in Northern Ireland to connect with their local heritage.
CTC Northern Ireland
CTC Northern Ireland is a very active Member Group that organises leisure cycling in the Belfast area, as well as campaigning for cyclists in the region.
