Stevenage Off-Road Challenge
Come and join Cycling UK Stevenage for some challenging fun.
Take in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside along a mixture of
* Bridleways, towpaths, cycletracks
* Gravel tracks, quiet rural lanes
* Single track through woods
There are two routes:
* 50km route, approx. 50% unpaved, +469 metres of climbing
* 65km route, approx. 50% unpaved, +541 metres of climbing
Both routes are ideal for mountain bikes, gravel bikes and hybrid bikes. Some tracks are bumpy, the surface is loose in places; the trails may be muddy or slippery after rain.
There are numerous refreshment options on (or near) the routes; a list will be available at the Start.
This is a challenge, not a race, and can be ridden individually or as a group. Several Ride Leaders will be leading groups of riders who do not want to navigate the route themselves.
Detailed Route Sheet PDF files and Route Map PDF files are available for riders who wish to navigate the route themselves.
GPX files are available, for riders to load the route on their cycle computer.
