Early Bird Ride - Trial

Fast road ride for the Early Birds. Unlike our other rides, this is a 100% road ride, no gravel/off-road, but plenty of hills. 

You'll be expected to be able to keep up with a 13mph pace and not to get off to walk on hills - we're far more relaxed about this on our other rides. 

At this level we expect your bike to be well maintained and that you're able to repair your own punctures and perform mechanicals. Tyre repair kits and tools are mandatory. 

Road bikes are highly recommended for these rides. This is one for people who enjoy cycling at pace, but don't want to (or can't) join a 'chain gang'. Perhaps you're a little more mature or not experienced enough to go faster. 

Afterwards, it's back to The Swan for a refreshing drink and to see Windsor Cycle Hub in action. We're always looking for new volunteers to share the joy of cycling with others, so please don't be surprised if we mention this to you.

NB These are trial runs, currently scheduled for the 3rd Saturday of the month. We'll continue running them if there's sufficient demand & we see some new volunteers on or other activities.
