Coxwold Cyclist's gathering and service

12 May 2024
Local Group Event

Event description

The annual service (now one of only two in the country) will be held this year with refreshments available at Coxwold Village Hall (YO61 4BB)from 12 noon on with the Church service at nearby St Michaels at 1.30pm.  The event is jointly organised by N Yorkshire CTC and Teesside CTC.  We estimate that about 60% of the cyclists who come to the Village Hall go the church service so no need to attend the service if you don’t want to.

We are continuing the tradition of reading out the name and club of cyclists who have died since May 2023.  We restarted this last year. The only criteria apart from the date of death is that the person should have had some association (even if many years go)  with the service: we leave that to be decided by whoever nominates them.

We can accept names -in writing please – up to 12.30 on the day.  The reading will take place as part of the announcements section at the start of the service.
