Bike Week 2020 has arrived - go cycling, win prizes and join free events

Bike Week begins today, and runs until the 14 June. As a result of lockdown rules, normal event programmes have been replaced by a series of virtual events which we'd love to see you join.

From yoga, to brain training, we’ve got an exciting variety of fun events you can take part in from home.

For those of you interested in mountain biking, we’re holding 'Adventure on your doorstep: Cycling the Great North Trail'.

For those wanting to hear about the role of cycling in the future of the UK, take a look at our webinar series.

The theme for 2020 is 'health and wellbeing' and how to keep the nation cycling after the coronavirus crisis.

If we can take a positive from the current pandemic, it’s seeing so many people on bikes.

Bike Week this year is about sharing the joy of cycling, and demonstrating how cycling benefits our health and wellbeing, society and planet.

We hope you’ll join thousands of others across the UK by heading out for a ride and showing just how fun it can be by sharing a photo of your ride on social media using the hashtag #7daysofcycling.

Don’t forget to tell your friends and family to take part, as there are prizes to be won including:

Bike Week is a chance to show how cycling is our connection to the outdoors, to nature. It can fit around our everyday life, which is vitally important for health and infection risk at the moment. Just using your bike to get to the shops - it all counts.
