Windmill 200km Challenge Ride

The Windmill Rides are part of Cycling UK's Challenge Ride Series and include some of the prettiest scenery in the East of England. 

This 200km route may sound intimidating but the terrain is relatively flat compared to many parts of the UK as you leave Chelmsford in Essex for a trip out through Cambridgeshire as far as the home of racing, Newmarket in Suffolk, before returning back to Essex passing through the historic centre of Saffron Walden. Expect vernacular architecture, pretty cottages, quaint villages, medieval buildings, rolling scenery and plenty of tempting pubs and cafes to stop at en route. As the name suggests, there's plenty of windmills too - can you spot all 10 of them?
