For the racers
The Cycling Podcast
Journalists Richard Moore, Daniel Friebe and Lionel Birnie chat to special guests as they offer insight into the world of professional cycling. As well as covering the Giro d’Italia, Tour de France, Vuelta a España and Classics, they provide cycling news and take you behind the scenes of the pro world.
The podcast was launched in 2013, and episodes are released weekly, and daily during the grand tours, so there’s a huge back catalogue to catch up on. Previous guests include double Olympic gold medallist Joanna Rowsell and Eurosport commentator Rob Hatch.
The Cycling Podcast Féminin is a monthly edition of the podcast which focuses on professional women’s cycling.
Life in the Peloton
Presented by Australian former pro cyclist Mitch Docker, Life in The Peloton gives listeners an insight into what happens behind the scenes in the professional cycling world from the likes of David Millar, Gracie Elvin, Phil Liggett and Matt Haymen.
Focusing on cycling as the link between all the guests who appear on the show, the podcast aims to explore varied topics, from stories behind the personalities in the sport, to the latest in cycling news, tech and training.
Watts Occurring – with Geraint Thomas and Luke Rowe
Welsh pro and Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas has started the world’s biggest cycling club – and you can be part of it. Throughout the race season, ‘G’ and INEOS teammate and best friend – and fellow Welshman – Luke Rowe bring you the best guests, cycling news and inside information on all the biggest races on the pro tour.
During the off season, Thomas is joined by amateur rider Tom Fordyce as they take you on a fascinating ride around some of the biggest stories and guests. Expect a mix of comedy and brutally honest insight – and you can find out what advice Sir Bradley Wiggins had for a young G back in the day!

Singletrack Magazine MTB Podcast
Brought to you by the people behind popular mountain bike magazine Singletrack, the podcast is presented by Mark Letch, journalist and author, and Hannah Dobson, the magazine’s editorial manager and one of our 100 Women in Cycling in 2019.
It includes mountain biking news, reviews and opinion. Down to earth and engrossing, there’s a broad range of content delivered in a relaxed manner – great listening for whatever mood you’re in.
Former guests include pro rider Josh Bryceland and 2024 Elite Women’s World Champion and World Cup Champion, the YT Mob’s Vali Höll.
The Adventure Stache
This is one of the best known and most popular off-road riding podcasts. It’s presented by US professional off-road endurance racer Payson McElveen.
Listen in as he sits down for a chat with some of the biggest names in off-road and adventure cycling. The episodes take the form of a conversation rather than an interview, making for a fun and sometimes surprising listen.
While varied, the subject matter mostly revolves around gravel and mountain bike adventures and events, as well as McElveen’s own off-road travels.
Downtime – The Mountain Bike Podcast
British mountain biker Chris Hall launched this podcast out of a desire to share practical training advice to help all mountain bikers – and prospective mountain bikers – improve their skills and get more out their rides.
It has evolved into one of the most popular platforms for all things downhill. Chris talks to athletes, trainers, mechanics and a host of interesting and exciting people from the gravity-based side of mountain biking.
For the all-rounders
Just Ride
Hosted by British former downhill mountain biker Rob Warner and US MTB rider and founder of Grow Cycling Foundation Eliot Jackson, this podcast is brought to you by Red Bull. It covers all aspects of cycling, from gruelling ultra-endurance events and BMXing to being a cycle courier and designing the future of bikes.
It takes the form of an informal chat between these two friends along with a series of special guests. Just Ride is funny and informative – if you want to find out what’s like to find slugs in your helmet after spending the night sleeping a field this is the podcast for you.
Cyclist Magazine Podcast
From the team behind Cyclist magazine, this is a podcast for lovers of all things cycling. It’s hosted by the magazine’s deputy editor James Spender and freelance journalist Emma Cole.
The two presenters bring you in-depth conversations with all kinds of people from whole world of cycling, from RideLondon director Kevin Nash to pro racing legend Tadej Pogačar. Previous guests also include cycling commentator Ned Boulton and Channel 4 news presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
The Cycling Europe Podcast
CyclingEurope provides a wealth of information about cycle touring. The podcast is a digest of news, reviews, ride reports and interviews from around the world, whether that’s EuroVelo, Europe’s huge network of long-distance cycle routes, riding around the world or exploring the far reaches of the UK.
Episodes include interviews with travel writer Andrew Sykes as he tours the Shetland Isles, Polish bike tourer Joanna Chmara biking around eastern Europe and the Balkans and writer Rob Ainsley touring 1970s style.
An informative listen for everyone from experienced tourers to those just starting out.
For the techies
The Bike Radar Podcast
The latest tech news, reviews, buyer’s guides, interviews and insight from the world of cycling – there’s loads here to help you get the most out of your cycling.
It’s produced by the team at BikeRadar in collaboration with their colleagues from MBUK and Cycling Plus magazines, so you can be sure of a wide range of topics, including winter kit, how government cuts are affecting riding spots, whether you need a £1,000 carbon wheelset and new e-bike motors.
The team really knows their stuff so there’s something for everyone to learn.
Cycle Systems Online
Cycle Systems is a bike maintenance outfit with a cycle mechanics training academy based in Devon. The online division of the company offers virtual training and educational resources. This includes the podcast.
The host is company founder Sean Lally. He aims to educate all bike tech enthusiasts in a way that’s entertaining and informative. You’ll find interviews, opinion, mechanical expertise and maintenance and repair advice. Perfect for the home mechanic!
Cycling Demystified – Bike Fit, Mechanics and Soft Issues
Professional bike fitters Wei-Ho Ng and Matthew Walton of Foundation Bike Fit have teamed up with Ev, founder of Frequency Cycleworks – all based at the 2012 Olympic velodrome in east London – to bring you the inside track on the cycling industry.
The focus is on bike fitting and custom builds, but they cover the wider world of bike tech too. They showcase the smaller side of the industry: the one-person makers, designers, engineers and artisans.
