2 Riders today: Mark and Ty

We set off from the Meridian Leisure Centre in Louth on a lovely sunny morning. Heading towards Stewton, Ty managed to catch some netting in his rear mech—twice in a month! Luckily, there was no damage this time, and it only took five minutes to cut it free.

From there, we continued on to Legbourne Furze, Authorpe, Aby, Ailby, and Alford. We explored Soul Foods, Manor House, and a pop-up café in the Market Place. In the end, it was Hobson’s choice: The Willow Tea Room—though I jest! It’s a lovely place to stop for coffee, toast, and jam.

On the return leg, we passed through Well and climbed up into the Wolds, avoiding the notoriously busy main road at Mile Cross Hill. Then it was through Rigsby and along Haugh Road, which splits the villages of Aby and South Thoresby. Before long, we reached Meagram’s Top, and then it was downhill through Muckton and Little Cawthorpe, back into Louth.

That concludes the Steady Saturday rides for 2025, as the weather is starting to close in. Hopefully, we’ll restart the leisure rides in spring 2026.

Thanks to all the riders who came out over the last 11 rides!  Remember there is still a Wednesday Wander meet 10am at the Leisure Centre, Louth or Sunday Rides 9.30am start.  These rides range for 30miles to 40 miles as we come into Autum and Winter seasons
