Residential Cycle Parking Hangars

Cycle hangars have been available for residential cycle parking since 2021 - but roll out has been slow, with only 6 across the town.

We understand that there is no funding specifically allocated for the installation of hangars.
Individuals who have suggested locations have received responses such as:

There are currently no plans for an additional cycle hangar in xxx. 
If the budget becomes available for one to be installed, I will contact as you have shown an interest to rent a space.

We understand that it may be possible to access funding for a hangar in a particular community by applying for a Climate Change Community Fund grant - details on the SBC website here
