Joanne Westwood can’t remember learning to ride, only the freedom and independence it gave her – and still does.
After training as a Breeze champion in 2012, she has led women’s rides ever since, tackling the barriers that stop women cycling.
As part of Preston Pedals Community Cycling Hub, she rides regularly with the Tuesday Trotters, taking huge pride in how their confidence and ambition have grown.
Joanne also leads social rides for mixed groups and has toured with women across France and on routes including Coast and Castles, Way of the Roses and King Alfred’s Way.
