With a focus on peer support and empowerment, Cicely started the Brighton Multicultural Women’s Cycle Club after a number of refugee women she was working with mentioned they’d like to learn how to ride a bike. It was also a tool for the women to learn English in a more interactive way. Cicely works with the Brighton Bike Hub to source repaired, donated bikes, and has given joy and confidence to scores of women who never thought they’d be able to cycle.
