Cycle Sheffield - Runner-up

Volunteer Awards 2018
Cycle Sheffield
Cycle Sheffield was shortlisted in the Outstanding Campaigning Group category for Cycling UK's 2018 Volunteer of the Year Awards.

Cycle Sheffield have remained tireless advocates for safe cycling in Sheffield for many years, despite limited success with the Sheffield City Council.

Their involvement this year with the current elected metro mayor Dan Jarvis has meant they have gained several commitments from him for cycle safety, including a commitment to appointing a cycling and walking commissioner, a commissioned study on how to make the city more cycle and walking friendly. None of this would have happened without their efforts.

Cycling UK is therefore very happy to celebrate Cycle Sheffield's huge impact by shortlisting them for the Volunteer of the Year Awards 2018.

Cycling UK's Volunteer of the Year Awards are given annually to recognise and celebrate all the incredible work volunteers do in encouraging others to start cycling and keep cycling.
