About us

The SK6 Spinners CC are a Cycling UK affiliated road cycling group based in Marple, Stockport.

Founded in October 2015, we pride ourselves on being a friendly group with a social and inclusive emphasis - and that includes a good gender mix. We try to cater for a range of abilities, from those who ride regularly at a decent pace, to those still finding their feet - and fitness - on the road.

We ride every week on a Sunday, 7.30am, usually with an A (faster) and B (more social) ride on offer, between 20 and 30 miles. We do like Peak District hills, and the stunning views that brings, but we do also occasionally do flatter rides into Cheshire. We generally go for coffee afterwards - and then get on and enjoy the rest of the day with families and friends.

The last Sunday of every month there is a later ride normally at 09.30am which is more of a social pace with a coffee stop along the route.

In the summer, we also ride on Thursday evenings, followed by a pint at our sponsors, Beer Traders. Some members also ride informally during the week.

We are a fast-growing club, which offers social activities and special events such as theatre trips and indoor cycling sessions to our members. We allow non-members to ride with us several times before being required to join up.
