About us
We are a small sociable group of cyclists based in Croydon who organise a ride every Sunday through the surrounding countryside lanes of Surrey, Kent and Sussex.
We are always happy to welcome new members and guests to join us for all or part of a ride.
A ride lasts all day and covers up to 90 miles in the summer, though this can drop to 50 miles in the winter. We generally average between 10 and 12 mph, though we will always wait for any stragglers.
The destination of the ride is usually a country pub where we stop for refreshment, nourishment and repartee. We have an additional coffee stop in the morning and except during the winter months we may also have a tea stop on the way home.
We normally meet for the rides outside Andrews Estate Agents Brighton Rd, Purley - near the swimming pool, but on the fourth Sunday of each month we usually meet by the roundabout at the junction of Shirley Road and Wickham Road, Shirley - near Trinity School.
If you plan to join us for a ride it is advisable to contact one of the club officials in advance, just in case of any last minute changes.
