Cycling UK Stevenage Comment on College Travel Plan

In September, the North Herts College Engineering and Construction Campus will open at its new site which was formerly the Indoor Market in Market Place off St Georges Way. Cycling UK Stevenage raised concerns about cycle access for students and staff when the change of use was considered by planning. 

When the Planning Application was approved the developer was required to submit a detailed Travel Plan for approval.  

This Travel Plan has now been submitted to SBC for approval in consultation with HCC as the Highways Authority.  
It does not address the concerns we have raised but instead, in the section on Accessibility on Foot and by Cycle, the document states incorrectly that there is:

....an extensive network of routes suitable for cyclists and pedestrians throughout the town centre, providing a good level of permeability for both cyclists and pedestrians through the town centre, making it easier, and safer, for people to use these active modes.
