Looking to develop your confidence to ride a bike? 

Maybe you want to get your old bike out of the shed and back on the road. 

Or you want to meet new people, because you've just retired.

Perhaps you're new to the area, or visiting, so want to know the nicest places to ride. 

Worried that we'll leave you behind? (We won't, we're not a fast cycling club.)

Any of that sound familiar? Then Windsor Cycle Hub is for you. 

We're an inclusive group, NOT a club, run by volunteers who love riding bikes and sharing our passion with others. Our aim is to help make Windsor an even nicer place to live by getting people outdoors and onto bikes. 

We'll check your bike's safe to ride (fixing it if necessary), teach you how to ride from scratch, or simply help boost your confidence to ride more.

We're proud to be affiliated with Cycling UK - we share their values. We think cycling is for everyone – regardless of age, fitness, gender, means, race, creed and so on. We'd love to meet you.

Our rides are graded into 4 levels: 

Level 1, is on the 1st Saturday of the month, it's for people new to/returning to cycling. It's just above walking pace, traffic-free and short. 

Level 2's further, a bit quicker and introduces some quiet roads. 

With each week/Level we add more distance, speed, tarmac and hills. You get the idea.

If you're a confident cyclist already, then please join an intermediate Level 3 ride to see how it goes. We like to keep Levels 1 and 2 for those who need our extra attention. 

The social element of Windsor Cycle Hub is as important as the cycling. We're based in an award-winning community pub (serving local beer and great coffee), the post-ride chats are a big part of what we do. It's about making friends over bikes and a drink. 

We cycle slowly enough to talk while riding. Our visitors really enjoy talking to others and learning new things about the area – like what films and TV shows were shot locally, where our local celebs live(d), and stacks of historical facts.

We think cycling's about slowing down a bit, taking in your surroundings, and enjoying yourself. Our repair service is VERY popular, you may need to wait over an hour (did we mention we're in a pub?), and our rides can take longer than expected because someone gets a puncture, we decided to pick blackberries - or we waited for the slowest rider to catch up. But that's all fine.

Want to help us, help others? We're always looking for confident cyclists to help on rides, people who can fix bikes, or those who aren't so sure about either - but are keen to learn.
