Faster paced longer ride usually all on-road

Time: 09:50 for a prompt start at 10:00

Start/Finish: Farnham Maltings, Red Lion Lane, Farnham GU9 7QR.

Refreshments:  National Trust Café, Devil's Punch Bowl, London Road, Hindhead GU26 6AB. Bring your NT Drinks Loyalty Card for an extra stamp.

Return Time: We aim to be back at Farnham Maltings between 13:00 and 13:30.

Distance: About 26 miles and 2,400 feet of ascent.

Conditions: All on road.

Route: From the Maltings up Firgrove Hill and over to the Tilford Road. Sheephatch Lane to Charles Hill and along to Elstead. Turn right in Elstead along the Thursley Road and then left in to Thursley village. Use quiet roads and tarmac track alongside the A3 for views over the Devil's Punch Bowl. Refreshments at the National Trust cafe in Hindhead. Return via Grayshott to Hammer Lane and Churt Road. Then Bacon Lane to Frensham, Shortfield Common Road, Broomfield Lane to Frensham Heights and back to the Maltings via Sandrock Hill.
