Sunday Ride, 21st June: Haywards Heath - Peacehaven
Event description
On Sunday 21st June we're leaving promptly at 10.30 am from Rushfields Plant Centre café, Henfield Road, Poynings, West Sussex, BN45 7AY.
Please note: If you want a coffee, please get there early because we're leaving at 10.30 am!
From there, we will ride on country roads, around Haywards Heath, to the Coach House Café in Sheffield Park Uckfield, East Sussex, TN22 3QX for lunch.
If you prefer, bring a picnic lunch and find a spot nearby.
After our lunch, we will head south towards Barcombe, Iford, Peacehaven, and then back to Brighton.
The ride is 50 miles, mainly on roads except for a gravel cycle lane after Lewes.
Please note: All our rides are weather-dependent. If the weather looks bad, the ride will be cancelled!
If you plan to come on any of our rides, please make sure your cycle is in a roadworthy condition. Bring a puncture repair kit, a spare inner tube (or, for tubeless tyres, as appropriate), essential tools, a mobile phone if you have one, snacks, enough to drink, and sunscreen/waterproofs/warm clothing as appropriate. Don't forget your lights if you expect to be out in the hours of darkness. Please follow Cycling UK guidance and the Highway Code.
