Ride to Lewes, Hassocks and Fulking for lunch with options for a shorter ride

SORRY EVERYONE, THE WEATHER LOOKS UNFACOURABLE AND SO THIS RIDE IS CANCELLED.

On Sunday 7th December, we're meeting at the Rotunda Café, Preston Park, Brighton, BN1 6HN at 09.45 ready for a 10.00 departure. 

Ride to Lewes. From there turn left up past the prison to Hamsey, Cooksbridge and Plumpton to Hassocks (approx. 20/25 miles)

SHORT OPTION (no lunch): At Hassocks - if you prefer a shorter ride you can take the train back from Hassocks meaning you will be home for lunch. Check availability of the trains if using this option. Alternatively, you can ride down the cycle path next to the A23, picking up Sustrans route NCN20 to Brighton, or use your own route over the Downs.

LUNCH OPTION: From Hassocks continue to ride with us to Springs Café in Fulking for a nice lunch.

If you prefer, bring your own packed lunch and find a spot to have it.

After lunch we will continue to Bramber, and then back to Shoreham and Brighton via Coombes.  Approx. 40/50 miles

Please note that there will be a final weather check on Saturday morning. If the weather's looking bad, the ride will be cancelled. All our rides are weather-dependent.

If you plan to come on any of our rides, please make sure your cycle is in a roadworthy condition. Bring a puncture repair kit, spare inner tube (or as appropriate for tubeless tyres), essential tools, a mobile phone if you have one, snacks and enough to drink, also waterproofs/warm clothing as appropriate. Please follow Cycling UK guidance, and check with the ride leader about the distance and hilliness of the ride if you are unsure. See contact details below.
