Pedal To The Park 2 - Sunday 19th July

19 July 2026
Local Group Event

Event description

The event is to show people how easy (if you're fit & can use gears!) how easy it is to cycle form central Windsor to Windsor Great Park.

We open reception at Stag Meadow (by Windsor & Eton FC) at 10:30, when our first Bike Bus departs for the Great Park Village green. It's a 30 min ride for most people, with stops along the way to drink & rest.

We'll have 3 bike buses lead by our volunteers. More confident cyclists are free to make their own way up to the village. If you don't know the route, don't worry - just follow the arrows.

Booking is essential to qualify for our event insurance, & so we can monitor visitor numbers.

We'll have additional routes marked out in the park. Plus, we'll have a picnic spot on the village green. Please bring your own snacks & drinks - although we are working on getting an ice cream van.

On the green we'll have fun activity for kids & big kids to do.

Pedal Too The Park is aimed at riders of all ages, we'd love to see whole families including some nanas & grandads. If you're family aren't local that's fine, you can come on your own & meet new people.

NB 1: The climb up to the village is something best attempted if you already ride a bike fairly regularly. It will be summer, so you must take care of yourself.

NB 2: Windsor Cycle Hub are dedicated to encouraging people to cycle, we have a lot of car traffic in our town, so please  take a train to Windsor if you don't live locally. Stag Meadow is an easy ride from the Paddington & Waterloo line stations. There's no parking inside Windsor Great Park & very little (if any, on a Sunday) in Stag Meadow.
