BBR Celebration Bike Ride in Birkenhead Park - family friendly

We are offering families the chance to try out a range of bikes with a difference from our Wheels for All project.  We have a selection of three wheel, four wheel, hand and wheelchair friendly cycles available to have a go, FREE of charge today thanks to support from Cycling UK Big Bike Revival.

Our adapted bikes are fun to ride, allowing people of all ages and abilities to try new ways of cycling and keep fit at the same time.  We will use a very short, traffic-free, circular pathway within the Park.

We will also lead a Pedal Away ride around the Lower and Upper Park using our two wheel bikes to encourage newcomers to cycle and enjoy the company of others.  We want to establish a regular weekly cycle ride from Birkenhead Park. This is an introductory taster to find out what it's all about with Cycling Projects staff and volunteers on hand to guide you. Bring your own bike or borrow one from us, FREE of charge.

Please note that today's Pedal Away two wheel cycle ride uses the road route within the park so you will be sharing with car traffic - hopefully only a small amount and at reduced speed. It's a 2 mile circuit.

Places are limited for our cycling activities today and must be booked in advance using Eventbrite.

*NB Book ONE TICKET for each person attending. At least one grown up MUST accompany children throughout the session.
