Welcome to the Cycle Advocacy Network in Scotland

Changes for the better are happening in Scotland as more people get on their bikes as the Scottish Government spends increasing amounts of money on active travel - cycling, walking and wheeling.

Cycling UK wants to support and grow the movement of people speaking up for cycling in locations across Scotland. We’re here to help you raise your voice and call for positive change in your local area.

Find out more about the Cycle Advocacy Network and join us on the journey to get more people cycling.

Find a local group or campaign where you are

You don’t need to be a member of Cycling UK to get involved or start a group - we support any group we can regardless of their affiliations.

See our map for what’s happening near you:

Please get in touch if your existing campaign group isn’t on the map - we would love to include it.

Where we want to build new networks

Cycling UK wants to facilitate and build new groups across Scotland who campaign locally to create the conditions that enable more people to cycle.

Are you looking to speak up for cycling in your community?

We're looking to facilitate the campaigning groups in the following areas:

  • Angus
  • Falkirk
  • South Fife
  • Inverclyde
  • Orkney
  • Perth & Kinross
  • Renfrewshire
  • Scottish Borders
  • Shetland

If you are an individual or involved in a group which supports cycling in any of these areas, please get in touch with Jim Densham, Cycling UK's campaigns and policy manager for Scotland.

If your area isn’t currently represented there are still opportunities to get involved where you live.
