Just after her 18th birthday, Sophie attended a Bikeability training course at which all other attendees were men. In a bid to redress this imbalance, she founded B-Buddies, delivering Bikeability sessions with the local authority. She has expanded the business to a family-run community interest company delivering a huge range of training sessions, club rides, skills sessions and cycle maintenance.

“I run balance bike, learn to ride and Bikeability sessions, cycling clubs, maintenance courses, as well as a training centre, shop and workshop delivering to all ages and abilities. Which I love!”
