Leanne Farmer

Cycling changed Leanne’s life when her seven-year-old son was diagnosed with a hip condition and used a wheelchair for 18 months. Discovering a handcycle allowed them to keep riding together and inspired her to give back to the cycling community. After volunteering with inclusive cycling groups, Leanne founded 'A Wee Pedal' in 2019 with a mission to make cycling accessible for everyone

Today, A Wee Pedal is Edinburgh’s largest cycle tour company, recognised with multiple awards including from VisitScotland, and supported by a growing team of qualified guides and instructors. Leanne also teaches over 200 children and adults to ride each year, runs free weekly community led rides and tutors for British Cycling’s Breeze programme, helping to inspire the next generation of confident cyclists.
