Kate Jackson
Cyclocross and mountain biking for women champion
Kate is no stranger to the healing power of cycling. At 27, she lost her mother to cancer, later buying a mountain bike and fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Relief. In 2019 she was diagnosed with a rare brain disease. But cycling never fails to make her feel better. She is passionate about encouraging more women and girls to cycle. She co-founded both the Calamity Cross and Dirt Dabblers initiatives, designed to encourage more women to try cyclocross and mountain bike racing.
“My focus is on creating fun, safe spaces where women can learn, train and race. Watching women overcome fears and challenge themselves has been incredibly rewarding.”
