Newcastle social entrepreneur growing a cycling community
Jill Maddison is the co-founder of The Cycle Hub in Newcastle, a social enterprise dedicated to promoting the health, environmental, social and economic benefits of cycling—especially for women.
Jill has encouraged more women to feel confident on bikes, supporting safer riding through skills sessions, community events and a welcoming café space.
Her work has helped “get more bums on saddles,” transforming hundreds of lives by making cycling accessible, inclusive and safe.
Jill is passionate about creating a secure, supportive environment where women and the wider community can thrive on two wheels.
