Janet Flemming grew up cycling to school and then to work in all weathers, but it was training as a British Cycling Breeze champion in 2012 that sparked her love of social riding.

She now takes particular joy in encouraging more women to cycle, leading friendly rides on quieter routes to build confidence.

Since qualifying as a coach in 2022, Janet has helped many adults and children learn to ride through her volunteering with both Harrow Cycle Hub and Field End Flyers, organising and coaching courses and inviting new riders to join easy led rides to build up their confidence.
