Jane Wilkinson

Adaptive off-road champion in Loch Lomond

Jane Wilkinson came to cycling in her mid-40s, when her teenage daughter joined a mountain bike club and she refused to be “just the taxi driver”.

Discovering how the right bike could transform the experience, she progressed from mountain biking into road riding, touring and bikepacking, eventually making cycling part of her work in active travel and climate action.

In 2024 she joined the Adaptive Riders Collective, helping people with physical disabilities enjoy off-road cycling in Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

Over 12 years, cycling has connected me with nature, inspiring people, and fulfilling work
