Heather Baker has spent over 25 years devoted to getting more people cycling. From working on sustainable travel projects for schools and businesses across Devon, to leading on the award winning national Cycling Demonstration Town programme for Exeter, she has been instrumental in transforming the city’s cycling culture and breaking down barriers for women, children and less confident riders.
In 2013, Heather brought her passion into the industry as owner of Saddles & Paddles in Exeter, creating an inclusive, welcoming bike shop that mentors young staff and supports riders of all backgrounds. Alongside running a thriving independent business, she serves as a trustee for ‘Ride-On Cycling for All’ in Exeter, championing accessible, joyful cycling for everyone.
