As Bikeability Delivery Lead at Life Cycle, Frances’ has enabled more than 35,000 children to unlock the joy and freedom of cycling. When a school says the timetable’s full or the playground’s too small, Frances simply finds another way: she wins the confidence of head teachers, reassures anxious parents and personally removes every obstacle that might keep a class off the bikes.
She also oversees a team of instructors who have supported 5,000 adults to rediscover cycling for travel, health and happiness. Two thirds of trainees have been women — often nervous beginners, or those returning after long absences. Her infectious energy turns curiosity into commitment.
