Elaine started cycling six years ago with Breeze ladies and was quickly introduced to CTC Swansea. Since then, she has received an award for the most rides covered with the club.
Having progressed from a relative beginner on a heavy hybrid bike, to a regular rider then a ride leader and committee member. Elaine continues to be a shining inspiration to women who were reluctant to join a male majority group.
This year, she helped run the popular Gower Cycling Festival, hosted and run by CTC Swansea, which offered a comprehensive and varied programme of exciting rides over five days.
“I love to encourage new members to the group. I have joined several CTC Swansea touring holidays in different parts of the country, and I love getting involved with organising the Swansea and Gower cycling Festival to promote cycling for all ages. It’s such a joy!”
