Writer of poetry, short stories and travel articles

Caroline is a writer who uses her poetry to inspire and encourage more people to take up cycling. She spent this summer touring her one-woman show, Cycle Poet, by bike, performing her work in locations from Bristol to Berwick-Upon-Tweed. She also performed her cycling-influenced poetry at the 2021 Cycle Touring Festival. Her Bristol Bike Bard series of poems tells the city’s history while cycling its streets.

“I first started cycling as a young child. My dad worked at Raleigh for a while, and I remember sitting on the back of his bike. My grandad was a touring cyclist and a CTC member.”
