Though Ann cycled as a child and young adult, she didn’t really take it up until her 60s. To her surprise she soon progressed from easy rides, trained as a Breeze champion and joined Penge CC, and has now led over 600 rides, inspiring and encouraging hundreds of women into cycling. She gives new riders a warm welcome and makes them feel comfortable in the club.

“I really enjoy introducing women to cycling and seeing how much it can change their lives. It is also a great stress-reliever when times are difficult. I have made many, many new friends through cycling.”
