Katie Legg joined Cycling UK as commercial director in April 2023. She has brought to the organisation a wealth of expertise in physical activity, health and sport.
She joined the team from Mental Health UK, where she had been leading the charity’s approach to growing income through new products, market innovation and corporate partnerships with organisations including Aldi, Johnson & Johnson, Volkswagen and Bank of America. Her proudest achievement was the £8m income she generated to help people with their money and mental health through the pandemic and cost-of-living crisis in association with Lloyds Banking Group.
Katie started her career working in sport with elite athletes to inspire future generations to get out, get active and take part in sport. Through the London 2012 Olympics, she worked for a range of organisations, such as Sport England, helping national governing bodies grow their membership and modernise to meet new demands as we change the way we keep active.
More often than not, Katie can be found at weekends enjoying the fresh air in Richmond Park and Bushy Park. A lover of all things active, Katie also volunteers as a trustee for both Fulham Football Club Foundation and Sporting Chance.
