Hester Wells

Cycle campaigner Hester Wells has been involved with Cambridge Cycling Campaign since September 2013. In that time she’s had a huge hand in professionalising the organisation, helping the group move to new premises and expand the amount of work it can take on. Her day-to-day work includes writing consultation responses, running stalls at public events, writing for newsletters, route monitoring, meetings, and social and educational events.

Hester’s dream is for a Cambridge where cycling is safe and accessible for everyone – particularly children, who can be given the space and security to be independent and active on bikes.

Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling is an annual list celebrating inspirational women who are encouraging others to take part in this wonderful and life-enhancing activity.
