Donna McDonald

Donna McDonald is part of Cycling UK's 100 Women in Cycling 2019 list for her work getting more people cycling in and around Birmingham.

Donna has been a volunteer Bikeability instructor and Ride Leader for Bike North Birmingham Community Cycling (BNBCC) for around five years.

In that time she has led rides and helped teach hundreds of adults and children - many from deprived areas or hard to reach communities - how to ride.

BNBCC was the blueprint that helped the Big Birmingham Bikes project to happen and then the 18 or more Cycling UK Community Cycling Clubs to be created in Birmingham.

Without the pioneering work of Donna and the other volunteers from the BNBCC the major success getting a number of cycling groups set up in Birmingham might not have happened.

What is 100 Women in Cycling?
