Cycling UK's Tour of the Hills Challenge Ride usually takes place in mid-August and forms part of our Challenge Ride Series.

Not for the faint-hearted, this is a lovely forested ride with long, steep climbs and exciting descents, many on centuries old sunken lanes which are a feature of the area and make this ride very special. Enjoy riding many of the Surrey Hills' best roads, including some used by the 2012 Olympic road race route. Despite its proximity to London, this is one of the most challenging and scenically stunning routes in the country. There are several pretty villages on the route offering a choice of delightful places to stop for a cup of coffee or something more stronger - though it's probably not a great idea to indulge too much until the end!
