About us
Cycling UK North Hampshire has one active member group based in Alton which organises rides every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning starting from Alton Community Centre at 9:30. These are around 30 miles long and include a coffee stop. In addition there is an easy-paced ride on the third Friday each month, starting at 10am and covering about 15 miles with a coffee stop.
Full details of up-coming rides are on our website https://www.cyclinguk-northhampshire.org.uk/. In addition there are other affiliated cycling groups within the North Hampshire area.
- Fleet: The affiliated group Fleet Cycling seeks to promote cycling in the town for all cyclists.
- Petersfield cyclists normally run two rides on the last Sunday of each month. The faster paced ride averages 15mph over 45 to 50 miles whilst the easier paced ride, which does around 25 to 30 miles, is a ‘no drop ride’ and goes at the pace of the slowest rider. Rides usually start from outside Waitrose but occasionally we start elsewhere in the region for variety. For more information, please contact Jon Asbridge on 07968 589042 (evenings).
Visitors and non-members are welcome but regular riders are expected to be members of Cycling UK. Please visit our website for more information at https://www.cyclinguk-northhampshire.org.uk/.
