We offer St Augustine's Centre members free loans of refurbished bikes, bike-fixing sessions and support to help them to get more confident riding a bike.

About us

St Augustine’s Centre in Halifax welcomes and supports refugees and people seeking asylum with a range of activities that help individuals rebuild their lives with dignity and feel more connected to the community.

One of those activities is our Bike Kitchen.  At our Bike Kitchen we offer:

  • Free loans of donated bikes that have been  refurbished by our skilled volunteer team.
  • Weekly bike repair sessions - run by volunteers - where people can get their bike fixed & learn how to do simple repair jobs themselves.
  • Opportunities to get more confident riding a bike - including access to learn-to-ride sessions and local rides.
