"Steady Saturday" Rides 16th August Louth to Conisholme to Louth to Alford to Louth

After the recent heat wave it was a nice 9.0 a.m. start to today's 2 part ride.  Cool and a little cloudy.

Today's riders:  Ty, Sue, Tim, Mark and Mike (from Lincoln) set off down to Ticklepenny Lock, Alvingham, Red Leas, Scupholme, South Somercoates taking a short directly across to Conisholme being careful not to take the left (dead end) to North Somercoates Fen. We arrived at Applesby Ice Cream parlour for sustenance (tea cakes and coffee.)

Heading back to Louth Mark would extend his ride through Grainthorpe, Wragholme, and circumnavigate the reservoir at Covenham.

We arrived back into Louth for 12pm having covered 22miles.  Part 2 of the ride would see Ty departing solo from Magna Vitae at 12.30  to Soul Foods cafe at Alford to pick up his Italian Herb Foccacia baked by Sonya from Greenfields Bakery.  Ty then rid back to Louth to complete 52miler.  That'll teach him for organising 2 rides on the same day.
