Kidical Mass Hitchin - Wow what a turnout!

There was a fabulous turnout for the first Kidical Mass ride in Hitchin on Sunday September 14th.

Sunday morning saw families gather at Ransom's Recreation ground before heading off for a 2 mile ride into the Town Centre and back.

A big thank you to the Kidical Mass Hitchin organiser Kirsty and the ride leader David plus the ride leaders from Cycling UK Stevenage who helped marshal the ride.

This was definitely just the beginning!

Kidical Mass is a growing worldwide body of people with the same vision - to allow children and young people to be able to safely and independently travel by bicycle wherever they live.

Their motto is "Kids Are Traffic Too" and they're looking for "Space for the next generation".

They spread their vision by arranging local rides for all the family which highlight the demand for improved safe spaces for children to walk, scoot, wheel and cycle in their neighbourhoods.

We want to bring this movement to Hitchin - to highlight that our lovely town needs better cycling infrastructure too!
