Our Cycle Hubs

St Helens Pedal Power Community Cycle Group Hubs

In cooperation with St Helens Council, we operate from four cycle hubs within the borough of St Helens, which often act as starting points for our rides:

You can find a Google Map of all our cycling hubs here

Taylor Park Cycling Hub, Taylor Park, St Helens, WA10 3HX (For beginners & inexperienced riders)

Situated next to Taylor Park Cafe and lake, this hub is used for those starting cycling for the first time or returning to cycling after a long break. Let's face it!, most of us get bought a bike when we're kids and after hitting the teenage years the bike ends up in the shed. This hub is primarily used to reacquaint yourself with a cycle. With our ride leaders and mechanics, from this hub you'll quickly acquire the confidence and skills needed to get yourself back out on the bike.

Sankey Valley Cycling Hub, Blackbrook Road, St Helens, WA11 0AB (For shorter distanced cycle routes)

Situated behind the Ship Inn and next to the Sankey Valley visitors Centre, we use this hub for our shorter distanced rides. Rides from here will often find us cycling up Sankey Valley heading towards Carr Mill Dam and stopping for coffee/lunch at places such as Clarke's Golf Centre - Rainford, the Masons Arms - Billinge,  Croxteth Park - Croxteth,  The Sandpiper - Bickerstaffe,  Inglenook Farm - Rainford The Junction Pub - Rainford and the Bridge Farm Cafe - Rainford.

Bold Miners Cycling Hub, Fleet Lane, St Helens, WA9 2NH (For medium & longer distanced cycle routes)

Situated behind Bold Miners Community Centre we use this hub mostly for our medium distanced rides. From this hub we cycle to places such as the Galleries Cafe - Warrington, Lymn Village, CHI Community Cafe - Runcorn, Media City - Salford, City Airport - Barton and The Station - Irlam. Once a month we will also have a longer ride from this hub to places such as Tatton Park - Knutsford, The Boat Lift - Anderton, Cedar Farm - Mawdesley etc.

Four Acre Cycling Hub, Burnage Avenue, St Helens, WA9 4QB (For medium & longer distanced cycle routes)

Situated behind the Four Acre Health Centre we use this hub mostly for medium/longer distanced rides. From this hub we have access to The Dream, Clockface Country Park and will often head off for destinations such as Esposito's Deli - Runcorn Hill Park, CHI Community Cafe - Runcorn, Stadt Moers Park - Whiston, Hale Village, Pickering's Pasture - Widnes, The Ferry Tavern - Warrington, Waterfront Pier Head Promenade - Liverpool, Crosby Coastal Park.
