Girls That Ride Bikes

Girls That Ride Bikes is more than cycling; it’s about freedom, friendship, and sharing the love of wheels and wild places.
We’re building a space for women of all abilities to ride together, share stories, and explore the outdoors without pressure or pretense. Whether you’re new to the saddle or chasing your next adventure, you’re welcome here.

About us

We organise fun social rides across Dorset, designed to bring together women who share a love of bikes, fresh air, and laughter.

Evening Socials: Two relaxed evening rides each month, perfect for unwinding after work, meeting new faces, and discovering local trails.

Big Monthly Ride: Once a month, we plan a longer weekend adventure, a chance to explore further, push a little harder, and end the day with a well-earned coffee (or pint!).

Girls That Ride Bikes is a welcoming space for all FLINTA riders (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans, Agender), including bisexual and queer women.

Follow us on Instagram for the latest ride information or contact us via our contact page.

Information about the group rides

GTRB social monthly rides are organised and supported by volunteers and are completely free to join. Our rides are group rides, not guided or coached sessions, and everyone takes part at their own risk. Riders are responsible for their own safety, their bike handling, and following the Highway Code at all times. We ride considerately, communicate hazards, and follow shared group riding guidance to help keep everyone safe.

Please arrive with your bike in good working order (including brakes and tyres), wear a helmet, and bring the essentials: a spare inner tube or tubless plug kit, basic tools, snacks, enough water for the route, and front and rear lights (especially in low light or winter months).

We look out for each other as a group. We stick to a no-drop policy, which means we do our best to ensure no rider is left on their own.

Bike Hire Available in the New Forest

We are teaming up with The Woods Cyclery, who have offered GTRB an exclusive discount for bike hire to encourage more people to get involved and reduce barriers at affordable prices- without a bike at the moment, want to try something new or even fancy hiring an ebike for the day. Contact us for more info.
