Thurs 14th - Mon 18th May 2026 - North Yorkshire Coast, Moors and Forest tour (car, ride, car).
Event description
Four day of riding to explore highlights of the North Yorkshire Coast, Moors and Forests.
Spectacular scenery from cliff-top paths, across moors and through forests.
Taking in Scarborough, the Cinder Path, Robin Hood's Bay, Flyingdales Moor, Langdale Forest, Rosedale Abbey, Westerdale Moors, Great Ayton, Ingleby Incline, Chimney Bank, Dalby Forest, Holcum Hole.
Riding will be on cycle paths, bridleways, converted railway lines and quiet lanes; unpaved sections have similar surfaces to our local Greenways.
Routes are suitable for touring bikes, hybrids, gravel bikes, and mountain bikes - whether human powered or electric assisted. Low gears and effective brakes are essential; there are a lot of steep hill climbs and descents!
Fantastic food and drink is available in Scarborough, Rosedale Abbey, and along the routes: fish and chips at Robin Hoods Bay or ice cream on the beach, Poor House Cafe and Suggitt's Ice Cream Parlour in Gt Ayton, Lion Inn at Blakey Ridge, Graze on the Green, Abbey Tea Room, Coach House Inn, and White Horse Farm Inn in Rosedale Abbey.
Helmets are strongly recommended for all off-road rides.
Contact Tim if you would like to join the ride. He will provide more information about routes and accomodation options.
