Every three years CYCLING UK organises a “Triennial Veterans Ride” throughout the country and in 2022 TEESSIDE CTC is again hosting an event.

The ride is aimed at cyclists aged 50 years and over. It is not restricted to CYCLING UK members and is opened to all experienced cyclists. This is not a race but an enjoyable challenge. The aim is to complete a 100-mile ride in under 12 (twelve) hours. A 100k (64 mile) ride route is offered as an alternative if you want a shorter ride.

The rides start in Welbury (DL6 2SG)near Northallerton and takes in beautiful views and villages of North Yorkshire. A map will be provided or GPS after you have entered

The route demands stamina and includes a few hills, but nothing over strenuous.

Refreshments before, during and after the ride and a buffet lunch at Coxwold Village Hall (YO61 4BB), first aid support and back up are provided.

Entry fee is £24.  Entries close on 7th June 2022

Start and finish at the Duke of Wellington Pub in Welbury. Nearest station is Northallerton approx 14 km/9 miles. Northallerton is served by LNER, Cross Country and Transpennine. Parking available with a charge of £1.50 cash payable on parking and car sharing strongly encouraged.
