Sunset Ride: 30th July - Gravel Inland
Event description
On Thursday 30th July, we're leaving promptly at 6.30 pm from Brighton Bike Hub, 26b St Martin’s Place, Brighton BN2 3LE (just off the Lewes Road).
Today's ride will take us to Falmer and then a great view from the South Downs Way, back to the coastal path.
Chase the golden hour on two wheels. Join us for short, social sunset rides through quiet roads, South Downs National Park, coast paths and the rolling hills around Brighton, the perfect way to unwind after work, enjoy the long summer evenings, and explore some of the most beautiful natural trails on our doorstep: small groups, easy loops, good company.
If you need your bike checked or you know that you need something fixed, please come earlier to make sure that the volunteers at the Bike Hub can help you with it.
This is an 18-mile ride, and we will finish the ride in Madeira Drive for a social drink before heading home.
Please note: All our rides are weather-dependent. If the weather looks bad, the ride will be cancelled! Take note of any weather alerts and respond appropriately to heatwave information. Always bring plenty of water to drink when the weather is hot.
If you plan to come on any of our rides, please make sure your cycle is in a roadworthy condition. Bring a puncture repair kit, a spare inner tube (or, for tubeless tyres, as appropriate), essential tools, a mobile phone if you have one, snacks, enough to drink, and sunscreen/waterproofs/warm clothing as appropriate. Don't forget your lights if you expect to be out in the hours of darkness. Please follow Cycling UK guidance and the Highway Code.
Check with us about the distance and the ride's hilliness if you are unsure.
Ideally, ride a Hybrid - Gravel Bike.
