Sunday 5th July - Off road ride to Walkern, 24 miles.

Sunday July 5th. Stevenage Woods Off-road
24 miles, 62% unpaved, +1,207ft climbing.
This off-road route is ideal for hybrids, gravel bikes and mountain bikes - with knobbly tyres for grip. A mixture of cycle-paths, bridleways and quiet lanes.
Approximately 3 to 3.5 hours hours riding time, plus refreshment time.
Start/finish by Cycling Hub, Fairland Valley Park. The route passes through Ashtree Wood, Chells Park, Box Wood, Walkern, Bassus Green, Hebbing End, Watton at Stone, Datchworth Green, Mardley Heath, Roebuck, Whomerley Wood.
Refreshments at Dolly's (Datchworth) &/or Costello's Café (Fairlands Valley Park).
Helmets are strongly recommended for all off-road rides.
