Ride from Brighton to Barcombe for lunch and on to Hassocks

On Sunday 28th June 2026, weather permitting ☀️☔️⚡️!
09.15 - Meet at Bison Beach Bar, Sea Lanes, Madeira Drive.
09.30 - Depart Bison Beach Bar
Cycle path to Rottingdean; then over the Downs to Falmer. Falmer to Lewes - Tesco superstore.
10.45 - Short break and meet any cyclists who are joining from Lewes Tesco.
11.00 - Depart Lewes Tesco
Ride via cycle path mainly to Ringmer. Ringmer-Isfield on quiet lanes mainly.
Isfield to lunch stop at Rhubarb & Custard Café on Town Littleworth Road at Holmansbridge Farm, Barcombe, East Sussex, BN8 4TD, arriving roughly @ 1.15. 40 miles approximately.
After lunch we ride another 10 miles roughly to Hassocks.
The ride ends in Hassocks. For those who need to get to Brighton/Hove: there are trains (please check) and a number of different routes to cycle if you prefer.

Please note: All our rides are weather-dependent. If the weather looks bad, a ride will be cancelled!
If you plan to come on any of our rides, please make sure your cycle is in a roadworthy condition. Bring a puncture repair kit, spare inner tube (or as appropriate for tubeless tyres), essential tools, a mobile phone if you have one, snacks and enough to drink, sunscreen/waterproofs/warm clothing as appropriate. Always bring plenty of water to drink when the weather is hot and pay attention to weather alerts. Don't forget your lights if you expect to be out in the hours of darkness.
