Glow Ride 2026

Last year Newbury, West Berkshire was one of 67 towns and cities across the UK as part of Cycling UK's ‘My ride. Our right’ campaign. This year, we're doing it all again, and we'd love you to be part of it.

Glow rides are a colourful celebration of cycling that shine a light on the need for safer streets and better cycle routes, especially for women riding after dark. Together, we can show decision makers that more needs to be done to make cycling feel safe and accessible for everyone.

The Newbury event is organised jointly by three local clubs: Newbury Road Club, Newbury Velo and West Berkshire Spokes.

We are planning a circuit of approximately 5 miles threaded through the streets of Newbury. There will be qualified local Ride Leaders and Marshals along the route, which will be well signposted.
